Hi. In case we haven’t met, I'm Rita Sherrow, Television Editor of the Tulsa World. Never blogged before so bear with me.

First a little background: I've covered it all from reality to period dramas to outrageously bad and really good situation comedies. I’ve interviewed the stars – some before they were stars (i.e., Sarah Jessica Parker in "Square Pegs"). But mostly, I'm just a fan of television. And I watch a lot.

I try to watch everything at least once. For new series, I watch the pilot episode and then maybe the third or fourth episodes to see if the network spent all the money on the first show and then fired the writers and producers to hire someone who would work cheaper for the rest of the series run.

Up front, have to admit I'm not a fan of most reality TV shows.

Once the new has worn off, I'm usually on to something else. And, strike me from my Television Critics Association membership but I have actually watched "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and "Kourtney and Kim Take New York." Still trying to figure out how they perfected that monotone sort of Valley-kid way of speaking.) There, I've said it. Please don't hold it against me.

I also usually pop in and out of most shows even those I don't like. (FYI: One episode of this season's "The Bachelor" was enough to make me gag and now they are frolicking naked in the surf. "Fear Factor" and its chugging donkey semen for an episode which was pulled last night by the network also comes to mind.) I have to admit "The Voice" isn’t too bad. At least it’s about the talent more so than the early humiliate-me auditions on "American Idol." But that’s a whole other blog.

Also have to tell on myself: I laugh out loud at "The Big Bang Theory" and "2 Broke Girls." "New Girl" makes me smile like a good Sophie Kinsella book and I'm not a huge vampire fan – no offense intended "True Blood."

I'm a huge fan of all things British, Egyptian, comedy and most documentary films. Give me a good Masterpiece Classic offering like "Downton Abbey," a tomb-touring film and episodes of "How I Met Your Mother" and I’m pretty well set.

My guilty pleasures are shows like "Hart of Dixie" on CW (I know you didn't know you even had that channel), "Grey's Anatomy"(still a fan) and "Once Upon a Time" (I'm into fairytales). Also try to never miss "Glee," "Modern Family," "The Good Wife," "Grimm" and "A Gifted Man."

That said, let's talk TV. I'll tell you what I know – sometimes gossip, sometimes reviews, sometimes just plain old news about TV and you tell me what you want to read. This could be an adventure.
