St. Patrick's Day is on the horizon, and we recently found some Irish cuisine at McHuston Booksellers & Irish Bistro in Broken Arrow.

The store is located downtown at 122 S. Main St.

Owner Larry Hoefling formerly operated the now-closed Paddy's Irish Pub.

"I have some of the favorite dishes from Paddy's, such as bangers and mash, Irish stew and shepherd's pie," Hoefling said. "I also have a different style of potato soup every day."

Hoefling said he also offers standard deli sandwiches, such as turkey and Swiss, and ham and cheese.

"I don't have any fried foods because that could damage the books," he said.

A cup of soup and half a sandwich is $5.99. The most expensive item is bangers and mash for $7.99.

The lunch-only restaurant part of the business is open 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. The bookstore is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
