The largest music festival and conference of its kind in the midwest, Tulsa's Dfest music festival, will host its first-ever submission party on Dec. 12.
Dfest and Tulsa's indie movie house, Circle Cinema, will host the event for bands to submit their music. It is FREE for all artists of all types of genres to attend, meet and greet and submit presskits for DFest.
Dfest submissions open on Dec. 12 and and run through March 27.
While at the party, watch the Martin Atkins documentary, "16 Days in China."
Atkins has done a masterful job with this self-written/directed/produced doc, including both the famed musician's own ideological wrestling with Chinese political repression with his own "emotional terrorism."
The party is 6-9 p.m. Dec. 12 at Circle Cinema, 10 S. Lewis Ave., with complimentary light snacks, Red Bull and water. Bands or solo musicians can drop off presskits. All genre styles accepted. Also visit the on-site kiosk to signup via Sonicbids with your account or start a new one.
