Tulsa's Jeanne Tripplehorn will be back on TV in April.
The Emmy-nominated actress has booked two episodes on Fox's hit series "New Girl." In the episodes to be shot in late March or early April, she will be playing the ex-wife of Jess' (Zoey Deschannel) new beau Russell (Dermot Mulroney), the father of one of her students. Named Ouli, she will not be very welcoming to everyone’s "adorkable" teacher, according to hollywoodreporter.com.
Tripplehorn starred as Barb Henrickson, the first wife of Bill (Bill Paxton) patriarch of the polygamous family at the center of HBO's "Big Love" series from 2006-2011.
She also starred in the anthology "Five" on Lifetime and was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her role as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in HBO's "Grey Gardens."
Her extensive film career includes "The Firm," "Basic Instinct," "Waterworld," "Mickey Blue Eyes" and "Sliding Doors."
A graduate of Edison High school, she studied at the University of Tulsa and The Juilliard School in New York City. She began her career in Tulsa as a local radio DJ and television host.
Her "New Girl" episodes should air in mid-April, according to Fox.
