"It's great to be married, the ceremony was beautiful and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and friends," the couple told PEOPLE Friday. The couple spent this week in Italy celebrating with friends and family ahead of the wedding.
According to the magazine, the couple kept the location of the wedding - held in southern Italy - a secret until the very last minute.
The two dated for five years before Timberlake proposed last December.
