The red-band trailer for "Kick-Ass 2" is out, and it looks like fans of the original will be happy to see the next installment of Mark Millar's violent take on superheroes in a world without superpowers.

You can check out the trailer on MTV.com. But be warned: Red-band trailers are intended for mature audiences. There's plenty of adult language and violence in this one.

A few thoughts on the trailer: Jim Carrey is pretty much unrecognizable as Colonel Stars and Stripes. Chloe Moretz looks much older than Hit-Girl from the comics, but with three years between movies, that's to be expected. And Aaron Taylor-Johnson has put on a lot of muscle for his second time in the green-and-yellow scuba suit.

Another trailer worth watching: Another movie that I'm looking forward to seeing is "Zero Charisma," a low-budget indie comedy about role-playing games that was created a lot of buzz when it was screened at South by Southwest recently.

The main character, Scott, in "Zero Charisma" is a gamer in his 30s who fits the worst of the adult gamer stereotypes: He lives with his grandmother, has a crappy job, doesn't take good care of himself and is bad with women. His life takes a turn for the worse at the same time as a new player joins his group. The new player happens to be a hipster nerd, the kind who has things a little too good in life to really be a nerd. Basically, he's everything Scott isn't.

It looks like a good movie that humorously explores nerd culture, looking at the dichotomy between modern nerds, who can come off as cool in today's culture, and the classic nerd, who has trouble fitting in even in a society accepting of geeks.

Check out the trailer below and let me know what you think. The filmmakers are still raising funds on Indigogo, with money going to take the movie "from the final stages of post-production through distribution."
