Kim Wayans -- of the same talented family that produced Keenan Ivory Wayans, Damon Wayans and "In Living Color" -- will be in Tulsa Feb. 23 for a booksigning and talk at the Rudisill Regional Library, 1520 N. Hartford Ave.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m.

Wayans and her husband, Ken Knotts, created the Amy Hodgepodge series of children's books, which detail the challenges of bi-racial children.

"With Amy Hodgepodge, we wanted to give a face and voice to multiracial children and let them see themselves in our stories reflected back in a fun, positive manner," Wayans said. "The series is also a great educational tool because it not only teaches children how to embrace diversity in themselves and in others, but it also opens up dialogue around race, culture and the beauty of being part of a Hodgepodge nation."

call the library at 596-7977 for more information.
