Customers who purchase a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts at regular price Friday will have the opportunity to buy a dozen original glazed doughnuts for 75 cents.
The one-day-only promotion is part of Krispy Kreme's 75th birthday celebration.
Krispy Kreme also has introduced three varieties of birthday doughnuts, available through Aug. 19. They start with a glazed doughnut that is covered with either chocolate, strawberry or white icing then topped with rainbow sprinkles and a rosette of sweet icing.
Krispy Kreme introduced its signature sweet doughnuts on July 13, 1937, in Winston-Salem, N.C. Today, the doughnuts can be found at more than 690 shops in 21 countries and at 10,000 mass merchants and grocery stores.
Tulsa's Krispy Kreme store is located at 10128 E. 71st St.
