OK Mozart is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2009, and the nine-day festival, June 12-20 in Bartlesville, will feature Tony Award winner and Oklahoma native Kristin Chenoweth, jazz legend Chick Corea, and the genre-defying ensemble Time for Three, along with two artists who appeared at the very first OK Mozart -- pianist Robin Sutherland and violinist Nadia Salerno-Sonnenberg.

OK Mozart announced its 2009 season Thursday evening at a special kick-off celebration held at the Bartlesville Community Center.

Chenoweth will be the guest for the Grand Finale Concert June 20. Time for Three, which put on a thoroughly enjoyable show last year when they were brought to Tulsa by Choregus Productions, will perform as part of the Woolaroc Outdoor Concert June 19. Corea and his trio will have an evening to themselves June 18.

Sutherland and Salerno-Sonnenberg will perform as part of the 25th Anniversary Concert June 17.

Houston Ballet II, the second company of Houston Ballet, will perform at OK Mozart June 15. Houston Ballet is now led by choreographer Stanton Welch, and one of the pieces on the program for OK Mozart is "Fingerprints," a work Welch created for Tulsa Ballet.

OK Mozart will also have a special performance by the silver medalist of the 2009 Van Cliburn competition, which will take place just a few weeks prior to OK Mozart. This person's recital on June 17 will be his or her first performance as a Van Cliburn medalist.

More details will follow.....
