Oklahoma's Broadway and TV star Kristin Chenoweth played guest host on "Chelsea Lately" last night on cable’s E! channel.
The Broken Arrow native, who was filling in for show host Chelsea Handler, had more than a little fun with the announcement that Hugh Hefner's on-again, off-again engagement with Crystal Harris, a young woman 60 years his junior, is on... again.
"I know we're all very happy for him," said the Tony and Emmy winner.
"In 2001, Crystal who is 26 - no judgment, only love – called off their wedding days five days before she was to marry 86-year-old Hefner… I wonder if their registry includes a coffin," she laughed.
Her guest on the show was country star Dwight Yoakam who talks about Chenoweth's "former life as Tidbit."
"She blew out of the northeast corner of Oklahoma. A whirlwind of force and dynamic performing energy. Tidbit."
That was the impetus for a musical she and country star Yoakam planned to write during their down time on the set of the film "Four Christmases" in 2009.
"Mary Steenburgen who was a co-conspirator in this, Jon Voight and Kristin and I sat around a lot and we wanted to write a musical," said Yoakam.
The song Chenoweth wanted to add to the show was titled "Muffin Top" and she sang a verse while demonstrating what a muffin top was on her own body.
