The sports world is full of pressure-packed moments, but this is a dose of real pressure.
Sometimes, the baby girl gets a surprise when I come back from road trips and sometimes she surprises me by asking "where's my surprise?" when I haven't actually been anywhere.
So I promised her Monday, when I hadn't been anywhere, that I would have a surprise Tuesday and I plum forgot. Under pressure to produce a surprise, I found a Superman necklace I had stashed away for the baby boy (who is named after Superman) for a birthday or Christmas gift and gave it to the girl as a surprise. She wore the Superman -- make that Supergirl -- necklace to Pre-K on Wednesday. I've got plenty of time to get the boy a replacement gift.
Fourth-and-goal? Time running out late in the game? Need a birdie to win the tournament? Sometimes you have to produce under pressure. I'm chalking this one up as a win.
