In today’s Tulsa World, you can find my
preview of new and upcoming releases you must check out. Five of those have been released so far (including the absolutely fantastic collaboration between Elvis Costello and The Roots that was released today) and more will come out every week on through December.
One of those that I highlighted was the latest from Kings of Leon, a rock band with ties to Oklahoma. Their first album since 2010 and some in-fighting among members is due out next Tuesday, but iTunes has a sneak peek for you. Listen to all of “Mechanical Bull” one week before its release
here.

Speaking of the fall album preview, I have been chastised today for a few omissions, including the latest from Pearl Jam and the Queens of the Stone Age tour stop in Tulsa Oct. 9. What else do you think I missed? There is just a ton of new music coming out and great shows nearly every weekend through the end of the year. What are you most looking forward to?
