Kids will like the "Captain Underpants Fling" at Martin Regional Library Jan. 28.
January's typically a pretty slow month when it comes to entertainment and things to do in Tulsa.
But look around a bit, and you'll find more than you would expect. Here are some of those events coming up this month.
Jan. 24 to 29"The Addams Family." This Broadway show, brought to Tulsa by Celebrity Attractions, is based on the cartoon and show known around the world. This fun and macabre musical will have eight shows in Tulsa. For tickets, call 918-596-7111 or go to

Jan. 27 and 28The University of Tulsa theater department presents its own version of
"So You Think You Can Dance" with performances by TU students and faculty. Works include ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop. Guest judges will give their input, and the audience will choose the top dancer by texting their vote. Performances are at 8 p.m. Jan. 27 and 28 at the Lorton Performance Center on the TU campus. Green Country Home and Garden Show is a good place to find inspiration for home decorating, home improvement and landscape. The show takes place from noon to 8 p.m. Jan. 27, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 28 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Exchange Center at Expo Square, 21st Street and Yale Avenue.
Jan. 28Fans of the "Captain Underpants" book series will love this
"Captain Underpants Fling" for kids ages 5 to 10. It's happening from 2 to 3 p.m. at Martin Regional Library, 2601 S. Garnett Road. Kids are invited to come in costume and participate in fun crafts and book readings. Call 918-669-6340 for more information.
