The Magic Acres Steak House in Beggs is reopening tonight on the very day after I reported it had closed.
Here's what happened, according to Teri Inman, current co-owner of the restaurant.
She said Marie and Ron L'Heureux previously leased the restaurant space. After they closed the restaurant in late May, Inman and the building owner, Bobby Holland, decided to become partners in reopening under the same name. Their grand opening is tonight.
Ian Lewis, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, is the new chef. He has worked at a number of fine-dining venues in the Tulsa area.
Hours are 5-9 p.m. Thursday-Saturday. Beginning June 26, it also will be open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. The phone number is 918-948-5353.
