Margarita Gaberino has taken over the Pare deli and catering location on Cherry Street and will turn it into Topeca Bakery.
She and husband John Gaberino also own the Topeca Coffee company and shops.
"At first I am just going to supply pastries and food items for Hodges Bend, Joebot's Coffee Bar and our two Topeca Coffee shops," Margarita said.
"In a couple of months I plan to start taking catering orders, and in probably three months or so I will put in a small retail space where people can sit down and have coffee and pastries."
Pare was opened about six years ago at 1441 S. Quaker Ave. by Susan Simmons and Paige Martin. It was sold almost three years ago to James Shrader of the Palace Cafe.
