"The Big Bang Theory" airs at 7 p.m. Thursdays on CBS, channel 6. MICHAEL YARISH/Warner Bros.

Summer may be over but the song of the summer "Call Me Maybe" just hit the set of "The Big Bang Theory" this week.

The production staff and stars of CBS's megahit comedy about the life and loves of nerdy scientists turn into a flash mob in front of the studio audience in a video was posted to youtube.com by the network Thursday.

It starts off with the actors – Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuocco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bailik – ready to start shooting a scene. But the music starts and the production crew takes the floor dancing to Carly Rae Jepsen's hit and the cast joins in while creators Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and a surprised audience watch.

It's beloved character Sheldon Cooper (Parsons) who wraps up the adventure with his famous catchphrase "Bazinga!"
