The Merritt's Bakery cookie election is in its final day. Since October, all four Tulsa-area stores have taken count of the McCain and Obama cookies sold each day.

Bobbie Merritt reports that the cookies are selling like crazy today.

"We are decorating every cookie we have baked and sending them out to the stores by the hour," she said.

"It has been so fun to do these and get the reactions from all the customers. It's been amazing how everyone want to make sure that their candidate is evenly represented every day with the other candidate," she said. "They are not happy if we have three trays of one and four trays of the other...and I mean not happy at all."

The cookies are $1.75 each.

Here are the totals so far today, though Merritt says it changes by the hour.
