Meet Kill Audio (and Claudio Sanchez) on Monday.
Before you head out to the
Slipknot show on Monday at the BOK Center, you might want to swing by the
Dwelling Spaces boutique, 119 S. Detroit Ave.
Progressive rock act Coheed and Cambria is opening that show, and lead singer/guitarist Claudio Sanchez will be at Dwelling Spaces to sign autographs and introduce fans to his new comic book antihero, “Kill Audio.”
Sanchez will present his vinyl doll of Kill Audio, a little man with a purpose — he just doesn’t know what it is yet.
The event is 3-4:30 p.m. Monday (Feb. 23).
Kill Audio’s site describes him thusly: “Plagued with the burden of immortality, he spends his days alone and playing cat and mouse with the Fixler, before embarking on a journey to find his maker. Making some friends along the way despite his sarcastic attitude, Kill Audio is looking for answers.”
The comic book series is designed by the up-and-coming artist Sheldon Vella.
Sanchez is also the writer of the comic book series “The Amory Wars,” which is the storyline for Coheed and Cambria’s music. Each album released represents a chapter in the four part sci-fi story, originally narrated by Sanchez’s lyrics.
