For the second straight year, Fort Gibson opened fall football practice at midnight on Tuesday -- the first possible moment allowed for Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association schools.
This year's event was a little different, however.
"There were more people," said Fort Gibson tailback-cornerback Jake Gandara. "Last year we just did stuff in the locker room, then we practiced and people showed up.
"This year, we had a movie night."
Fans who arrived early were treated to the inspirational football movie "Facing the Giants," on Fort Gibson's new video board.
"That made it more fun," Gandara said. "The big screen is awesome."
