Mondo's Italian Restaurant has returned to the Tulsa culinary scene after a 14-year absence.
The new restaurant is loccated at 3410 S. Peoria Ave. in the heart of Brookside.
The restaurant is owned by Louis Aloisio and his son, Rob. Louis opened Mondo's at 1114 E. 61st St. in 1969 and moved to 5960 S. Lewis Ave. in 1990. It was sold in 1997 and closed about a year later.
"We have most of our old menu, such as the veal and chicken marsalas, the piccatas and colossal raviolis," Louis Aloisio said. "Plus, we've added a few items."
The restaurant is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, although Sunday closing time could change depending on business, Aloisio said.
The phone number is 918-561-6300.
The space formerly held Gemma's Woodfire Grill.
