What's new on Friday, April 17:

"State of Play": Russell Crowe, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams, Ben Affleck and more star in this big-screen take on the acclaimed BBC series of 2003.

"17 Again": Matthew Perry turns into Zac Efron for the rest of the movie, one of those body switcheroo affairs with a young man getting a chance to right some past wrongs.

"Crank: High Voltage": Jason Statham in his other action franchise, the down-and-dirty one compared to his PG-13 rated "Transporter" series.

"The Blues Brothers": Jake, Elwood and a whole lotta blues music in this week's entry in AMC Southroads 20's classics series.

"Ballerina": Russian dance masters from the Kirov show the dedication, determination and beauty of their art in a documentary opening Sunday at Circle Cinema, with an intriguing 3:30 panel discussion between Sunday's 2 and 4 p.m. screenings.

What's new at the discount house on Friday:

"He's Just Not That Into You," the romantic comedy with an impressive ensemble cast (including Rod Keller of Tulsa as one of Drew Barrymore's co-workers) at both Movies 8 and Supersaver Cinema.

Movies 8 also debuts "Frost/Nixon," the recent Oscar nominee for best picture and best actor (nominee Frank Langella as President Nixon) and "The International," the espionage thriller with Clive Owen and Naomi Watts.
