NBC will make the most of its Olympics coverage including using it to launch its fall schedule.
The network will off sneak peeks of the freshman comedies "Go On" on Aug. 8 following its evening coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games and "Animal Practice" on Aug. 12 after the closing ceremonies, both without commercials, NBC announced Thursday.
The rollout strategy continues Aug. 13 with the two-hour premiere of the reality TV competitive series "Stars Earn Stripes" on Aug. 13, followed by the sophomore season premiere of "Grimm" at 10 p.m. Grimm moves to its regular time slot Sept. 14.
Premieres also announced include: "The Voice," 7 p.m., Sept. 10; "Go On," 9 p.m., and "The New Normal," 9:30 p.m., Sept. 11; a preview of "Guys With Kids" Sept. 12 and the season premiere of "Parenthood" on Sept. 11.
The new dramas "Revolution" and "Chicago Fire" will launch Sept. 17 and Oct. 10, respectively. The comedies "30 Rock" and "Community" will return Oct. 4 and 19, respectively.
The "NFL Kick-Off Special 2012" and first NFL game of the season will air on Sept. 5, followed by "Football Night in America" at 6 p.m. and "Sunday Night Football" (Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos) at 7:15 p.m., their regular Sunday time slots, on Sept. 9.
Summer Olympics coverage airs July 27-Aug. 12 on channel 2, cable 9 in Tulsa.
