I think it would take a young heart or a gambling old one to dive into one of the new Tour of America menu dishes at Denny's restaurants across the nation.
The one I'm talking about is the Midwestern Meat and Potatoes sandwich. This baby has a cheddar bun stuffed with grilled prime rib and french fries, smothered in brown gravy and topped with melted Swiss and American cheeses and mayo. Just for good measure, it comes with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy.
It's your call on that one. Other new dishes are a Philly Cheesesteak Omelet, Hawaiian Tropical Pancakes (macadamia nut pancakes layered with coconut whipped topping), Hawaiian Tropical Pancake Puppies (bite-sized pancakes packed with pineapple and white chocolate chips and rolled in toasted coconut), Georgia Peach French Toast and Southern Shrimp and Grits.
These dishes will be offered through Aug. 29.
