THE OUTDOORS
When I imagine what I might do if I were caught outdoors during a bad storm my mind tends to jump to ideas to shelter myself ...
Our bluebirds marked Mothers Day with the beginning of a new clutch of eggs.
Nest building began May 6 and egg number one ...
The nesting attempt summary is this: First egg, March 24; total eggs, three; first hatched April 11; total hatched, two; ...

Sam McCord of Commerce hooked a 3.2-pound crappie in the waters of Grand Lake O' The Cherokees on Sunday.
That's a slab and then some.
The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Lake Records Program posted the catch today.
The report states McCord caught the fish in the Twin Bridges area using a spinning rod and reel on a soft plastic bait.
He had it officially weighed at Grand Lake Sports Center at 3.2 pounds, 17 inches long and 14.75 inches girth.
This is a new record for Grand, at least since the lake records program began recording catches four years ago.
The state record white and black crappie are both well over 4 pounds and both were caught in farm ponds.
