PRESS FORWARD
On April 2, we launched a new look of our website with a lot of ideas from readers.
Now that we are a month into it, ...
We have made a couple of adjustments to the site since we launched the new look on April 2. We appreciate the feedback and ...
The latest version of our iPad app is now available from the App Store and it includes a popular request.
You no longer ...
You gave us a wish list. We listened.
Today's debut of the new Tulsa World e-edition includes feature ideas that came from readers. The biggest innovation is the ability to print out all of the day's puzzles in one click. Senior Web Developer Andrew Claude's code now "promagically" scans the puzzles each day and places them on one sheet of paper. The puzzles are not only big enough to read -- bigger than they appear in the print edition -- but they are also much clearer than what was possible in our previous e-edition. I have not seen any other newspaper offer the ability to print off all the puzzles in one click.
I have talked with a lot of our puzzle-loving subscribers and this was their No. 1 request. Happy we finally got it done for you. We know how important those puzzles are to your daily rituals.
The second-most popular request was increasing the zoom on the e-edition. Now you can magnify the page about three times what you could before. I know a number of our subscribers on Mac Book Pros complained about the print not being as bold as it is in the print edition. We have fixed that.
Archives are now much easier to access, as well. Click on the archives button within any e-edition and you simply pick a day from a calendar.
And finally, you no longer have to sign in to each e-edition. Once you are signed in to tulsaworld.com, you don't have to sign in again to view the day's paper.
As always, let us know what you think. We appreciate all those who have shared their feedback before. We hope you like what you requested.
