Welcome back, college football. I've missed you.
And welcome back to my college football weather forecast blog entries. I still remember the final week of the regular season when
Bedlam football had a 100 percent chance of rain. I also remember when a thunderstorm delayed the start of Tulsa and Oklahoma State's matchup until 12:15 a.m. the next day.
Will any of that happen this week? Here's your forecasts:
OU at UTEP: 9:30 p.m. Saturday in El Paso, Texas
First of all, I would like to share the image greeting me when I visit the National Weather Service page for El Paso:

Holy cow, El Paso weather service. Almost as shocking as seeing "Truth or Consequences" on your El Paso area map.
Anyway, sunny skies during the day, and overnight lows in the 70s with 5 to 10 mph east-south winds.
Tulsa at Iowa State: 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Ames, Iowa
I have nothing interesting to say about Des Moines' weather service page, unfortunately.
However, Golden Hurricane fans can expect a lot of wind Saturday afternoon in Iowa: Partly sunny skies and mid-80s highs...
with gusts as high as 21 mph.Savannah State at OSU: 6 p.m. Saturday in Stillwater
I end with the sole home game among our state's trio of FBS programs.
It will be hotter than El Paso in Stillwater on Saturday afternoon: highs in the upper 90s.
However, as the sun starts to set, expect mostly clear skies with lows in the upper 60s and 5-8 mph winds. If you should stay up past midnight, winds are forecast to calm down.
Enjoy football season!
