Keeping with the Big 12 vs. SEC theme of the week, I found something pretty cool from a year ago, when the two conferences ...
We're still more than a year and a half from the first College Football Playoff, and the first CFP selection committee, and ...
It's the magical time of year where we get to ask Oklahoma coaches and players if they start paying attention to BCS standings, maybe even watch ESPN's Sunday night BCS update show, and Oklahoma coaches and players get to answer like Bob Stoops answered Monday:
"I don't watch it. What do I need to watch it for? It's printed everywhere. I takes all of a half a second for the secretary to show you. I don't have time to watch it. In the end, you have to win. You have to win this week. That's our job. Everyone else can anticipate and project. They're not always right. We have to keep doing what we can do to try and win this week."
Thank goodness, then, for OU defensive tackle Casey Walker. Here's a guy who not only admits he follows this stuff – wouldn't you if you were him? – but is willing to share an opinion.
"I like to watch it," Walker said, "especially with all of the upsets these past couple weeks. I like to see what's going on, especially after last week."
Walker's takeaway from watching the most recent show Sunday night: "We are still No. 12 and it's been two weeks."
Walker's take on ESPN BCS guru Brad Edwards putting OU back in the Fiesta Bowl: "Yeah, I saw that. I don't wanna go there again. I don't, but I will. We've been there three years in a row. It's like, same stuff. I'd take New Orleans."
