Joe and Page Davidson, who opened Oklahoma Joe's Bar-B-Cue in Broken Arrow last December, expect to open a lunch spot at Cain's Ballroom this summer. JAMES GIBBARD/Tulsa World
Oklahoma Joe's Bar-B-Cue is shooting for a mid-August opening to serve weekday lunches at Bob's, the side stage at Cain's Ballroom, 423 N. Main St.
"We have most everything we need installed, and it's just a matter of getting everything ironed out and approved," said Jake Crandall, a manager at Oklahoma Joe's.
Oklahoma Joe's already is serving sandwiches during concerts at Cain's. The new lunch venue will offer the full Oklahoma Joe's menu, according to Crandall.
"We are getting geared up for it," Crandall said. "I think the room seats 140 or so."
The downtown spot will be open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Page and Joe Davidson, founder of Oklahoma Joe's Smoker Co. and co-founder of the famous Oklahoma Joe's restaurant in Kansas City, opened Oklahoma Joe's Bar-B-Cue in Broken Arrow last December.
The Broken Arrow restaurant is located at 333 W. Albany St. near the Bass Pro Shops. It is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.
