Don't let me be midunderstood with my image caption, it is wonderful that the U.S. Drought Monitor will be providing more detailed drought reports via their site redesign.
Alas, I would prefer more rain and less drought, instead, especially with how intimidating the map looks this week. Details here:

The increase in D0 for abnormally dry (yellow) kind of resembles a Pacman mouth ready to chomp down on Oklahoma. Given our recent rainfall, that might not be too far off from reality:
10-day rainfall:

According to the National Weather Service, Tulsa hasn't recorded any rainfall since Aug. 16. However, thanks to some earlier monthly rainfall, our total August rainfall of 2.88 inches was only slightly off norma' (2.9 inches). Sadly, rain is not in Tulsa's short term forecast.
