Oklahoma country star Carrie Underwood and host Jimmy Fallon" performed on Thursday's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," airing at 11:37 p.m. weeknights on NBC, channel 2, cable 9.
Oklahoma country star Carrie Underwood was a guest on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" and leave it to Fallon to bring up the past.
He recalled, using video clips, their days as the 1990s uber-denim-clad duo of "Jim Carrie" performing their version of country rap aka "C'Rap."
"A little confusing because the audience thought they were coming to see Jim Carrey," quipped Fallon. But the music was "genius. We invented an entire new genre of music."
"Or C'Rap,” added Underwood as Fallon introduced the video clips.
It was a "big hit so we followed it up with another song" which was an even bigger a hit, said the talk show host.
"But it got to be too much," he said, trying to hide his right country music sideburn from the skit while Underwood played it straight faced.
"I says to myself I says we have to go in hiding for our own safety. But then we reunited a few years later. You guys remember that TV special we did. It aired on CMBT country music black television. Does not exist anymore but here it is."
The new hit was "The Humpty Dance" song with the line "people say I look like MC Hammer on crack."
"Those were the good old days," he said.
Underwood also performed her single "Do You Think About Me" from her "Blown Away" album.
