"The Butler" is kicking bottom, as it narrowly beat out "One Direction: This is Us," though that wouldn't have happened if Monday hadn't been a holiday.

"This is Us" was beating "The Butler" all weekend, after a strong $8.8 million opening on Friday, but the civil rights era drama pulled ahead by Monday with $20 million to the boy band's $18 million. This makes three weeks straight that "The Butler" has held onto the top spot while banking only $80 million so far. To put that in perspective, "Iron Man 3" made almost that much on its opening day, and only stayed #1 for two weeks.

The $18 million opening for "One Direction: This is Us," while not horrible, is still pretty decent for a concert movie with a very narrow audience target.

"We're the Millers" is still holding strong, having spent a whole month in the top 5. "Planes" is hanging on as well, though no one seems to know why.

The big surprise is that the Spanish language movie "Instructions Not Included" somehow managed to grab the #5 spot, taking in $10 million, despite being shown on only 347 screens nation wide.

The weekend's other opener, "Getaway," starring Ethan Hawke and Selena Gomez looks like it landed with a disappointing thud, making only $5.3 million, which barely cracked the top 10.

The top Ten:

1 "Lee Daniels' The Bulter" $20,010,000

2 "One Direction: This Is Us" $18,000,000

3 "We're the Millers" $15,930,000

4 "Planes" $10,668,000

5 "Instructions Not Included" $10,000,000

6 "Elysium" $8,300,000

7 "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" $6,800,000

8 "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" $6,050,000

9 "Getaway (2013)" $5,530,000

10 "Blue Jasmine" $5,308,000
