Crawpappy’s, 3344 E. 51st St., entering its 14th year tucked in a back corner of the Country Club Plaza shopping center, will stage an anniversary celebration all next week.
In last Thursday's restaurant notes I said Suture's instead of Crawpappy's, but all of the other information, including the address, were correct. The two bar and grills are sister restaurants, and I had just reviewed Suture's, so some wires got crossed when I wrote the note.
Anyway, each day, beginning Monday, CRAWPAPPY'S will have a theme and giveaways, culminating April 15 with a Cajun crawfish and shrimp boil.
Crawpappy's is a neighborhood bar (over 21 only) that specializes in New Orleans-style food, including peel-and-eat shrimp with Creole mayo and po’ boy sandwiches. It is open for lunch and dinner; the bar stays open until 2 a.m.
