
Oprah Winfrey, host of "Oprah's next Chapter" and owner of the OWN network, airing on cable channel 106 in Tulsa, has scheduled a new "chapter" with pop star Justin Bieber. ISCOVERY
The Oprah Winfrey television machine is in high gear.
Her Harpo Films and HBO are reportedly developing a new drama for the pay cable network, according to hollywoodreporter.com.
The series will focus on a "the first black president of a prestigious liberal arts college who, along with his family, has been thrust into the national headlines while engaging in personal battles and struggling with dark obsessions," reported the website Wednesday.
Playwright Thomas Bradshaw is reportedly set to write and co-executive produce the series.
Harpo Films signed a long-term deal to develop miniseries, movies, documentaries and scripted series for HBO back in 2008.
On Nov. 18, she will reveal her must-haves for this holiday season on the two-hour special "Oprah's Favorite Things" at 7 p.m. on OWN, cable 106. She will also be giving away a top-secret surprise for a "group of unsuspecting and deserving military spouses," reported finance.yahoo.com.
During the first airing of the show, U.S. and Canadian viewers will have a chance to watch and win select items featured on the show by texting "the correct key word to a short code at designated points only throughout the premiere," according to the website.

Last night, she also announced on Twitter that she will go behind the scenes of Justin Bieber's "Believe" tour for the new "Oprah's Next Chapter" episode airing Nov. 25, also on OWN. The in-depth interview series airs at 8 p.m. Sundays.
