Oprah Winfrey, right, interviews Lance Armstrong, the seven-time Tour de France winner who was stripped of his titles and banned from competing professionally because of doping, in a two-part show airing at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday on OWN, cable 106. GEORGE BURNS/OWN

Oprah Winfrey is expanding her interview with banned cyclist Lance Armstrong to two nights this week.

Winfrey will air the interview in two parts 8-9:30 p.m. Thursday and 8-9 p.m. Friday on OWN, cable 106.

She taped the interview Monday with the seven-time Tour de France winner who was stripped of his titles and lost numerous lucrative endorsement deals after being banned from competing professionally in the sport of cycling, in Austin, Texas.

An OWN press release reports Armstrong will address the "alleged doping scandal, years of accusations of cheating and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career."

This is his first interview since the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency released a report accusing the cyclist of taking performance-enhancing drugs throughout his career.

The cancer survivor, who raised millions for cancer as chairman of his Livestrong Foundation, reportedly stopped in at the charity's headquarters to apologize before going on to his interview with Winfrey.
