The Green Acres Farmers Market, held Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Seventh and Main streets in Jenks, is hosting a couple of animal-related events.

On June 8, the Dog Days of Summer adoption event will take place.

Animal Aid and a variety of dog vendors, including U Dirty Dawg and The Dog Treatery will participate. Live music and facepainting for the kids will also be part of the event.

At 10 a.m. on June 29, Rick Miller will offer a session called "A Natural Diet for Cats & Dogs."
