During a press conference at an event in Germany, Sony announced that the PlayStation 4 will launch in North America on November 15 and November 29 in Europe. The console will cost $399.
A total of 15 PS4 exclusive titles will be available by the launch date. That list of games includes "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag," "Battlefield 4" and "Minecraft."
The PS4 has an x86 CPU, 8 gigabytes of unified memory along with an updated DualShock 4 controller with a touchpad. Gamers can also broadcast their gameplay in real time to friends using live Internet streaming services like Ustream. Friends can comment and even join in to help as the game is being played. Also, for the first time, gamers can share their epic triumphs online with a press of the controller's "share" button.
