Oklahoma brewers Prairie Artisan Ales and Mustang Brewing Co. released new beers in the past two weeks.

Prairie Artisan Ales released four new beers Friday and in some stores were sold out by Saturday. If you can locate them, they are:

Prairie-Merica -- a rich, malty ale.

Prarie Gold –- a sour golden ale.

Prairie Somewhere –- a citrusy ale brewed with oranges and limes and made in collaboration with Saint Somewhere Brewing Co. in Florida.

Funky Galaxy – a hoppy, black saisson.

Prairie Artisan Ales are produced by brothers Chase and Colin Healy and currently are brewed in the Choc Beer Co. facilities in Krebs. The brothers are looking for a permanent spot, preferably in the Tulsa area, and have begun a Kickstarter campaign to raise the necessary funds.

Those who pledge $10 to $24 receive a thank-you on the brewery’s Facebook page, $25-$25 a Prairie Artisan Ales tulip glass, $27 to $49 a Teku glass, $50 to $99 a catfish shirt, sticker and Prairie glass; $100 to $199 all previous gifts plus invitation to facility opening party, $200 to $499 all gifts plus a 9-by-15 large print of any of the labels signed by the artist, Colin Healy; $500 to $999 above items plus name a tank after you, $1,000 to $9,000 all gifts plus a beer will be named after you, and $10,000 or more all gifts plus a series of beers made in your honor.

The project will be funded April 11. For more information, go to the company website at tulsaworld.com/prairieartisanales.

Oklahoma City-based Mustang Brewing Co. recently released its seasonal DoppelHopper IPA, a double India Pale Ale, a hoppy brew balanced by a rich, sweet malt flavor.

“It would have been easy to just pile in more and more hops and blow away people’s palates, but we wanted a recipe that would appeal to IPA fans while fitting our profile of drinkable beers,” said Mustang brewmaster Gary Shellman.

Freddy Lamport, owner of BierGarten Wine & Spirits in Jenks, also informed us that kegs of Chicago-based Goose Island beers have arrived in Oklahoma, so they should start showing up on some taps around town.
