every week and picking up the right players at the right time.
As we head towards week eight of the NFL season, finding a player who can get you double-digit points is a tough notion, but that’s what I’m here for. This week, we go back to Cleveland to talk about Josh Gordon and his four touchdowns in the last three games.
The rookie wide receiver who was drafted in the second round of the supplemental draft, caught another touchdown Sunday on a 33-yard strike
from Brandon Weeden.
Gordon now has 14 catches for 325 yards on the season and is averaging over 23 yards per reception. Gordon hasn’t put up amazing numbers, but he’s the only Browns’ receiver who has big-play potential. He’s also been the main target for Weeden the past few weeks. Gordon was targeted a team-high 10 times on Sunday against Indianapolis and 22 times in the last three games.
It would be nice if Gordon could be more consistent (he dropped a potential 41-yard touchdown against the Colts) but he's definitely worth owning in most leagues at this point, especially if your receivers are off, or struggling with injuries.
Heading into Week 8 against the San Diego Chargers, Gordon could
be the different between a win and a loss.
