According to
Randy Travis' attorney, the 53-year-old singer arrested a number of times this year for alcohol-related offenses, is pulling himself together.
Travis has "eliminated alcohol from his daily life," Larry Friedman told
TMZ.
In February, the singer was arrested for public intoxication while sitting in a car at a church in Sanger, Texas.
Five months later, police found Travis completely nude when they went to arrest him for driving while intoxicated.
And less than a month after that, the "I Told You So" singer was cited for simple assault after getting into an argument with a man outside another church in Texas.
The singer was said to be "extremely intoxicated" when he showed up at a local hospital.
(Us)These days, however, Travis "works out three hours every day and is in the best shape of his life," Friedman said. "He has a high-protein diet and takes a lot of vitamins."
Friedman also told TMZ the singer is currently working on new music.
