The sixth annual Rock & Rescue event is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Guthrie Green park, 111 E. Brady St.
The free event is hosted by the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals. Attendees are invited to bring their own pets or adopt a pet from one of the dozen of area rescue groups that will be at the event.
Music, food and vendors will be part of the event. Representatives from local pet-related businesses -- including vets, trainers, retailers, groomers and doggie day cares -- will be on hand to talk with pet owners. Microchipping will be available for $25.
The event will also feature pet contests, including a bikini contest at 11 a.m., a "best rocker" concert at noon and a best tricks contest at 1 p.m.
