For a program that only has one varsity win since the start of the 2009 season, Friday night was a big step forward for the Rogers Ropers.

The Ropers won both their consolation games at the Grady Skillern All-City Preview at East Central -- 22-6 over Webster and 20-14 over Hale.

A.J. Lewis had a touchdown run in each game and LaQurious Taft scored on a pair of runs against Hale.
