Those familiar with "Watchmen," based on Alan Moore's 1985 seminal graphic novel, know what to expect of arguably this spring's most anticipated film.
Masochistic violence. An attempted rape. A shiny blue superhero who wears no clothes. "Watchmen" is the story of an ensemble of masked adventurers, but this is not the Justice League.
So for those under the impression, "Hey, it's a comic-book movie, let's load up the kids," know that while you got away with that for "The Dark Knight" last summer, "Watchmen" promises to be even more intense.
And now here's the Motion Picture Association of America rating: R, for strong graphic violence, sexuality, nudity and language.
