Sapulpa Police Officer David Jones may not have won "The Biggest Loser" but he took home the best prize.

The 51-year-old, who started the show weighting 307, left NBC's hit reality series early in the game but continued to work out and eat right for the "at-home" portion of the reality weight loss competition. While he didn't take home that $100,000 prize, he won something even better. He got healthy.

On Monday’s live season finale, Kiefer resident showed off his 102 pound, weight loss, down to 205 from a starting weight of 307. When interviewed by the Tulsa World in February, he had lost 87 pounds but wanted to break 100. he also was able to stop his high blood pressure medication.

He achieved his goal but it wasn't the weight loss, he said in a phone interview Monday as he was heading for a flight back to Oklahoma.

"Going into the finale, I absolutely wasn't worried about the numbers or winning the prize," said Jones, who was promoted to Police Captain March 1.

"That wasn't the deal. I had something to prove to myself and everyone else that the oldest guy on the ranch was going to look great."
And he did.
