"Saturday Night Live," with a little help from rock star Mick Jagger, bid farewell to cast member Kristen Wiig last weekend.

Wiig, who is ending her seven-year stint on the sketch comedy show, was brought to tears during the show's season finale sketch.

It featured an musical sendoff in the form of an emotional "graduation ceremony" with guests that included the Rolling Stones' Jagger as the high school principal calling up "one particular student who is leaving this summer," fellow cast members and producer Lorne Michaels.

"Mad Men's" Jon Hamm, Steve Martin and former cast members Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch and Chris Parnell also made appearances.

For the last seven years, Wiig, who co-wrote and starred in the hit film “Bridesmaids,” brought laughter to TV viewers with her appearances as characters the Target Lady, Gilly and Kathy Lee Gifford. She has also appeared in the films "Friends With Kids" and "Knocked Up."

Rumors had run rampant for months that this was Wiig's last season on "SNL." Cast members Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis, whose contracts are up, are also said to be leaving the show but producer Michaels reportedly told the media no decisions will be made until July.
