It's all Brad Paisley's fault.
That's "American Idol" winner Scotty McCreery's story and he's sticking to it.
McCreery misjudged the edge of the stage while performing a cover of Travis Tritt's "T-R-O-U-B-L-E" and fell off into the crowd at a recent Bethel, N.Y., performance, according to usmagazine.com.
The only thing injured was his pride but he laughed it off, blaming tour mate and country superstar Paisley who is known for his pranks, reported the website.
"Dagum @BradPaisley pranked me again . . . he narrowed up the stage on me for my last song," McCreery, 18, tweeted afterward.
He later posted a link to a video of his unfortunate fall along with the caption "if anyone needs a good laugh."
Still enjoying the incident, his tour mates lined the edge of the stage with yellow caution tape and orange cones at a later tour stop.
The fall occurs at apprximately 8:14 in this video.
