The 26-year-old learned of his illness following the April 24 birthday of his daughter Pearl Clementine with fiancé Lisa Stelly, according to people.com.
"Jack will be here on Wednesday to talk about his diagnosis but he's great – he's doing really, really good and I want to thank everyone for all their texts and goodwill and love they’ve sent to us," she said, struggling to get the words out.
He announced in a recent interview with Hello magazine that he had the incurable disease which affects the central nervous system. Symptoms include tiredness, temporary blindness, loss of co-ordination and difficulty with speech.
He has tweeted: "Thank you all so much for the kind and inspirational words. It means a lot. #adaptandovercome."
Sharon Osbourne, also a judge on NBC's "America's Got Talent," continued to thank everyone for their good wishes before urging her fellow hosts to move on with the day’s show.
"It's been amazing for Jack because I really believe that vibes and prayer help. Good energy. And what I’m doing right now is not helping because I’m feeling sorry for myself.
"So I have to think positively and get on with this show that we love."
