Sharon Osbourne, one of three judges on NBC's "America's Got Talent," tweeted Tuesday she is leaving the show.
Osbourne, who joined the judges panel during the hit reality TV series’ second season, made the announcement Tuesday by tweeting: "My darling @howardstern, money is not the reason I'm not returning to @nbcagt, it's because …", reported radaronline.com.
The tweet, which appears to be part of an incomplete conversation, doesn't indicate the reason for her alleged departure.
Osbourne, one of the hosts of CBS' daily show "The Talk," is married to rocker Ozzy Osbourne and the mother of new father Jack Osbourne, who was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and "Fashion Police" star and actress Kelly Osbourne.
According to the website, her alleged exit from the show is a surprise to NBC. There has been no confirmation from the network or additional comments from Osbourne.
Bob Greenblatt, NBC Entertainment chairman, told members of the Television Critics Association Tuesday that the tweet may be "much ado about nothing," according to thewrap.com.
"I don't know that she's not returning," he said. "I don't really have anything conclusive to say. ... I haven't spoken to her or her agents so I'm not sure really where it's coming from. It took us all by surprise."
Asked if he wanted her to stay he said "Absolutely. We love Sharon."
"America's Got Talent" airs at 7 p.m. Tuesdays and 8 p.m. Wednesdays on NBC, channel 2, cable 9.
