Chase Healey with Prairie Artisan Ales

Chase Healey of Prairie Artisan Ales has been a busy brewmaster lately.
Not only is he jetting around the globe promoting his beer, but also the new Tulsa brewery that he and his brother Colin are building near Chandler Park is almost ready for production.

The brewery has passed the city health department’s inspection, and the federal license is in. He and Colin have also applied for the city occupancy license and are waiting for the state license.
After the paperwork is complete, they can start brewing in Tulsa. Prairie has been creating its beers at Choc’s brewery in Krebs.

Chase said they will be brewing 12 different beers at the Tulsa facility — all will be unique farmhouse and wild ales. They are also waiting on a shipment of more than 200 oak barrels from Portugal and France for aging their beers.

If the paperwork goes well, they should be selling their Tulsa beer by the end of November or first of December.
Now, about that globe-trotting.

Chase Healey just finished a trip to Vermont to attend the Hill Farmstead Brewery Farm House festival where he poured some of his beers.
Next he and his brother are off to Brussels where they will be brewing at the De Proef brewery in Ghent. That beer will ship to Europe and the United States.

From there the brothers will head to Amsterdam for the Zwanze Day event to pour some of their beers. Next stop, Munich, where they will attend the Drink Tec trade show where all things beverage happen.
