Record industry members and media from all over the United States attended the
Sax, Clogs and Rock N Roll showcase at this year's South by Southwest music festival in Austin. More than 1,000 people RSVP'd for the showcase, said event co-organizer
Angie DeVore Green.
"During South by Southwest, that's an amazing turnout, especially since we weren't Paste or Spin or Rolling Stone doing this showcase."

Stillwater band Colourmusic gave the strongest performance of all eight acts, coming completely unglued during its raucous 20-minute set, which included new songs from its upcoming album.
The band dumped its playful, pajama-party rock in favor of its distortion-laden psychedelic mayhem. The venue was standing room only at this point, with fans dancing and screaming along the front rows.

The act's manager, Scott Booker, stood to one side, incognito in shades, smiling widely. This band just keeps getting better and better. Its live shows are truly electric.
Distortion wailed as the band hugged its amps, lead singer Ryan Hendrix lead the crowd in cheers and chants.
