What makes Twitter so powerful is its ability to connect people from different stratospheres with one another.

A teenager having a passing conversation with, say, a city mayor or musician or philanthropist is no longer a fancy notion but actually possible and as close in proximity as a computer keyboard.

Take this recent exchange between Canadian rapper Drake and Texas oil tycoon/Oklahoma State University alum and mega-booster T. Boone Pickens:








Indeed.

Pickens has got a point - a little bit harsh on the young Drizzy - but only on Twitter could something as unlikely as a conversation between these two men happen.
